Ivan Høiberg is an organist, choir director, conductor and composer. He has composed symphonic music, choral and organ works, piano and chamber music, as well as church music, songs and marches. He studied at the Royal Academy of Music in Jutland from 1978 to 1984, graduating in 1984 with a degree in church music. He was a student of John Wedell Horsner and Erling Kullberg in choral conducting. He then continued his studies in music theory and history at the same institution, and also studied orchestral conducting with Alf Sjøen. The master classes he attended in 1992 included those of Søren K. Hansen, Paul Hillier and Cecilia Rydinger Alin.
Høiberg has conducted several choirs, including the Aar hus Christian Choir (1980-1986), the Morsø Concert Choir (1992-2001) and the Frederikshavn Town Choir (2010-2012). He was organist at Nykøbing Mors Church (1991-2001), Vestervig Church (2001-2003) and S−by Church (2003-).
